Dear Parents & Guardians of Year 9 Pupils,
When it comes to making important decisions and choosing the best combination of subjects to take at GCSE, there is never a perfect fit for all. As we know, making that right choice of subjects requires time and consideration about future career paths.
The options process begins with an initial options evening online through a LVS Perspectives and onsite, giving you the opportunity to speak with the various departments and subject teachers and ask those pertinent questions.
Following this evening, you will have conversations at home to weigh up the advantages and disadvantages in whether to take a certain subject or combination of subjects or not. It is important to consider the transferable skills that the subjects can also your child, not just the academic content of the course.

I would like to say that every single member of staff is here for your child. Our aim at LVS Ascot is to make sure that the options process runs as smooth as possible and to fully support you and our pupils at every stage.
Please do read through this e-brochure with your child, in tandem with the information that you will receive from the options evening. Together, they will equip you to make those important informed decisions.
